The whole of it

This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, carries no advertising or tracking pixels, and embeds nothing served by a third party. Fonts are served from this domain, not from a font network. The public pages use no local storage, no session storage and no browser database, and nothing is written to your browser by reading them.

The consequence is that we cannot tell who visits, how often, or what they read. We consider that a reasonable price for a desk whose clients would rather not be counted.

The platform

Signing in to the platform generates cryptographic keys in your browser and holds them in page memory for the duration of the session. They are never written to disk, never sent to us, and are gone when the tab closes. That is a deliberate constraint of the preview, not an oversight: it means a session cannot be resumed from a stolen device.

The signed-in console

The desk's own console at /desk is behind a sign-in and is used by UIE staff, not by visitors. Once an operator has signed in, their browser keeps that sign-in session in local storage, so that they are not signed out again on every page load. It holds their session and nothing else: no visitor data, no record of what anyone read, and no use in tracking. It is written only when someone signs in, and browsing the public site never puts it there.

When you enquire

Submitting the enquiry form sends what you typed to our own endpoint so that we can reply. Nothing else on the page makes a request off this domain. The privacy notice covers what happens to it next.
